By nature, I am curious, inquisitive, and open-minded to learn new things so I knew about tech from my friend who is a developer so in my spare time I took out time to research, read, learn just added knowledge basically.
I love and enjoy writing a lot. After I published one of my articles on medium, I got advised into being a technical writer. The only additional word for me was "technical" but "writing" I will say I love doing already. I made my research, thought about it and I figured it is also another aspect of tech where I will learn, research, read and break down these technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
My growth so far...
My transitioning into tech "esosa.hashnode.dev/my-transitioning-into-a-.." started when I got acquainted with hash node, I started writing and since then I have been enjoying the process. I have gotten lots of feedback from different technical writers and developers, I learned a lot about tech and I am still learning.
The best thing is the ability not to rush but take my time learning about various technical concepts and languages, at the same time documenting/writing about my learning process which helps me and others learn. Also, I shared my articles on various social media platforms like LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and Twitter, which connected me to developers and writers in tech my journey has been great so far but my learning how to be consistent is a work in progress.
My advice for other upcoming female technical writers
Create your own balance and try to connect, choose your target audience, read and research, jot, write and post your work with the right hashtags, learn at your own pace with patience, consistency, and hard work you will achieve a lot.
KEEP WRITING!
